Dynamic drummer Dave King of the Bad Plus and ultra creative saxophonist Chris Weller team up in a duo setting. The two are longtime midwestern collaborators and bring a uniquely texture-based approach to improvisation. Expect sonic landscapes that envelope you in surrealist imagery.
Opening for the duo is Eli Winter and his trio. The group combines influences from Appalachian and Southern musical styles with avant garde jazz techniques. The result is something along the lines of a grittier Bill Frisell.
