Origins Jazz Series is proud to present the Rahsaan Barber Quintet featuring Roland Barber (trombone), Matt Endahl (piano), Alec Newman (bass), and Marcus Finnie (drums) supporting saxophonist extraordinaire Rahsaan Barber.

Rahsaan's passionate and sincere approach to music-making has garnered rave reviews from JazzTimes and Downbeat magazines, as well as appearances alongside Christian McBride, Brian Blade, The Temptations, Delfeayo Marsalis, and The Wooten Brothers. The saxophonist has performed on many of the world’s most prestigious stages including The Ryman, The Village Vanguard, Birdland, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture. Rahsaan has entered the ranks of the nation’s premier jazz artists following several celebrated releases, most recently including “MOSAIC,” a double-disc collection of original works released in April of 2021.
